Workshop 3:Developing a Meditation practiceExploring seated postures and pranayama techniques to ease us into stillness.
During this workshop we repeat all of the elements we've learned so far including a set of sun salutations to open the class and will follow with an exploration into some seated poses, twists and backbends using blocks and straps to support us. Seated yoga poses help to strengthen and tone the core muscles of the back and abdomen and bring more flexibility to the hips and body. Twists and backbends lend themselves to better circulation, healthy digestion, a stronger immune system and detoxification.
The workshop will be topped and tailored with a deeper exploration into pranayama (breathing) exercises and meditation techniques that will give you the knowledge and confidence to develop your own meditation practice at home.
