From beginning my yoga journey initially for the physically healing benefits, I began to find that I was not only coping better with the stresses of everyday life, but that I had developed a sense of inner calm and balance and, for the first time, I began to live my life more authentically. I had experienced what I can only describe as an awakening of my inner self, an unblocking of barriers to achieving true happiness. Yoga has helped me to not only heal physically, but mentally and spiritually too. But I really am only just beginning this journey in self-discovery!
This journey truly began in July 2017 after which I completed my 200 hour RYT qualification in Costa Rica under the guidance of the incredible Alchemy Of Yoga teachers Emily Perry and Silvia Mordini. In October 2017 I went on to complete a 60 hour qualification to teach yoga and mindfulness to young people with the Teen Yoga training program founded by Charlotte Martinus. I am now currently training in Reiki and completed my 1st degree in June 2018.
No matter your age, gender or abilities, yoga can be lived by everyone and I have been inspired to dedicate myself to guiding the self-practise of yoga in others.
I love to teach Hatha and Vinyasa flow that combines dynamic asana's with visualisation meditation and yoga philosophy. Each class is unique in style and flow, whether it be peaceful, playful and powerful, with the intention of cultivating space for physical and spiritual growth.
Each flow culminates in a place of total relaxation and surrender by taking the most beneficial pose of all, savasana!.
Inspired by the teachings of the chakra's, I develop my flows around fostering confidence, passion, creativity and joy so that students may leave their mats feeling able to channel these qualities into their lives.
Inspired by my teachers, I embrace a light-hearted, genuine and supportive style, welcoming all bodies of all ages into the space.
Yoga is a way of a life. And life is an endless journey of self-discovery. I am still discovering myself and have so much still to learn! But yoga has transformed my life for the better and I seek to share in this journey with others.
Passionate about bringing yoga into secondary schools and sixth form's, my mission is to empower young people by creating a space for self-acceptance, learning about their bodies and most importantly happiness.
I started taking yoga classes after I was diagnosed with depression as I was told it would aid in my recovery. Being a member of David Lloyd I’ve had the absolute pleasure of being able to take Holly’s Vinyasa Classes. Over the 6 months I’ve been doing yoga, I’ve had a number of instructors and she is by far the best. She explains the poses and flows so well that even a novice like myself feels confident undertaking the class alongside seasoned yogi’s.
she’s personable, approachable and always makes time after classes to answer any questions. Not only that, she makes the classes fun.
For several months I was having trouble sleeping and after taking part in one of her yoga retreats, I slept like a (happy) baby. She’s helped with my recovery more than she’ll ever know and even now I’m in a much better place, I plan to keep up with my yoga classes. She’s made me want to become a seasoned yogi.
Thank you for a wonderful spring awakening retreat morning, I was overwhelmed by your attention to detail, and the quality of all the different aspects of the day.
The studio was ideal for a Yoga practice, being both very peaceful and well equipped. I truly appreciated the goodie bag you provided which was very generous. The essential oil , along with the other home made treats at the break were a lovely surprise.
I have never attended a retreat of any sort before, but would now be very keen to participate in any future events or courses you are planning.
I think my Yoga is probably still more “ugly duckling” than “swan lake” but you have inspired me to continue and develop my practice.
Thank you for a wonderful retreat. Lumi and I noticed the positive effects it had on us (deeper more restful sleep, ability to connect and help others in ways that were just flowing the right way).
I really loved the spring retreat morning on Saturday -a really well organised session- lots packed into it and felt so relaxed over the weekend. You created a lovely ambience and I'm looking forward to the next one!
Thank you so much for the retreat morning, I had the loveliest time. It was a well paced day with lots of variety, the 4hrs flew by. I’m so sleepy and relaxed - think I’ll sleep well tonight!!
I love my little goody bag, it was really thoughtful, thank you.
